Hello Friday!

This week I’ve been buying and returning rugs on foot, learning to remember where our house is, sweating and watching my hair grow in the humidity, updating quickbooks, wandering the neighborhood in search of dog food, getting house and documents ready for dog, getting our extra room ready for shiatsu, noticing citrus stands everywhere, including pomelo guys, and trying to stick to a sleep schedule that fits my time zone.

At the beginning of most weeks I say to myself, “I wonder what will come to me for the friday love note this week?” The original idea was to do something handwritten or drawn each week. I’ve gotten away from that lately. However I made that rule, so, you know.  This week I continue deviating by sending you off to someone else’s site. This week’s love is equal parts tough and silly. And watch out, there’s a cuss word!  Repeatedly.  Avert your eyes as needed. ;-) But it’s a pretty awesome poster and it the right chord for me as I pick up my Shanghai life again.

Speaking of LOVE–tomorrow is Julie-and-Sean’s 11th anniversary!  Holy cow! Eleven?  Really! We are celebrating by taking a trip with a bunch of lawyers.  ”Is eleven the lawyer anniversary?” you ask?  No, I don’t think so, it just so happens that the fall “team building” trip at Sean’s office is to the island of Hainan, and it happens to coincide with our anniversary.  Nothing says romance like a room full of lawyers, right? It will be fun, and certainly an improvement over last year’s anniversary skype date. I will seek out and try Hainan Chicken. We will walk on the beach, even though it might be raining all weekend. I’ll tell you all about Hainan next week.
