post-retreat happiness!Permalink
I will admit it is also GORGEOUS outside, and that is contributing to the good feelings this week, but I am also basking in post-retreat happiness after Sunday’s Creative Visioning Retreat!
Again it was a joy to co-facilitate this day with Sarina. We have so much fun and it’s truly amazing what the participants bring forth in the course of the 6 hours. Each of our retreats features time doing intuitive collage. Intuitive collage involves quickly picking images out magazines that appeal to you, without thinking about it very hard or trying to create a narrative. They are then collaged together on a small mat board. At the end of the retreat we share the images we’ve made, and EVERY TIME it’s amazing to see what the images have to say in relation to the intention that person brought with them to the retreat. That is one of my favorite parts.
But I had many favorite parts of the day. Setting out the new chakra khan labyrinth I painted for people to meditatively walk, sharing shiatsu with each retreater, introducing people to a simple tonglen meditation to care for the difficulties we face in our lives, putting together all the little bowls of grains, seeds and sequins for our version of a despacho, watching Sarina expertly guide people toward themselves, and of course, as always taking a break halfway through for a tasty lunch!
This time we are extra lucky because we get to do this exact retreat AGAIN! On May 1st. 3-9pm.
