What an icy, grey week leading up to Thanksgiving so far. I hope y’all are walking ver-ry carefully out there. I’d rather have you come in to relax, than to recover from a tumble on the ice!
We received our Fall CSA box and I just sorted through 45# of (mostly) root vegetables, setting aside what will ride with us to my parents’ house for Thanksgiving. In fact, I’m roasting some beets right now, so I can freeze them and enjoy them later this winter. The oven is warming the kitchen, Skye wanders around searching for crumbs, and the world is quiet and cold outside, except for the wind chimes I’ve not brought in yet. Most years Thanksgiving means a road trip and music. This song came into my head as I thought about the drive ahead, and maybe you’ll enjoy it, too.
Travel safely, eat lots of sweet potatoes and pie (maybe some green bean casserole), and enjoy the ones you love!

Fall is a very between-the-worlds time: warm days, cold nights, sweaters, tees, umbrellas and down vests. I’m also feeling in-between–taking an Anthropology class at the U, completing a Reiki workshop, continuing wonderful work with you, and brewing some creative projects. In the morning I might learn about the work of early Cultural Anthropologists and then, in the evening, the layers of the aura–very different takes on the human experience. I love this exploration! I hope this Fall is invigorating for you, too.
