I know I’ve recommended her before, but I am now going to recommend generously by telling you about Rachel Naomi Remen again!
She was on NPR’s program Speaking of Faith this weekend (listen here) . I linked to her program the last time I heard her interviewed as well. She is a medical doctor who also suffers from chronic illness. She works with doctors-in-training to help them consider the spiritual side of medicine. She has a wonderful book, Kitchen Table Wisdom, which is filled with stories from her years of practicing medicine and what she has discovered and learned along the way about living with illness and working with patients. Stop into your local library or bookstore and pick up a copy. It’s really a lovely book, I think you will enjoy it.
